James G Loeser, DDS, MD

Dr. Loeser was born and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois. He is a graduate of York Community High School, Class of 1990. He then graduated from the University of Dayton, where he played football and ran track & field at the collegiate level. He attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then attended the University of Louisville, School of Medicine, where he earned a Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed both his General Surgery internship and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty training at the University of Louisville Hospital.

He is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Dr. Loeser’s clinical interests include the removal of impacted third molars under IV anesthesia, dental implants, facial and oral pathology, corrective (orthognathic) jaw surgery, maxillofacial trauma, facial reconstruction of bones and soft tissue to restore traumatic defects, and to prepare for dental implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation.

He has staff privileges at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital where he takes oral surgery and facial trauma emergency call.

Dr. Loeser and his wife Jane have four children. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his children in hockey, wrestling, football and baseball. He also enjoys downhill and water skiing, running, live music, and reading philosophy. Dr. Loeser holds a black belt rank in Kodokan Judo, and a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
